hello there!

I promised my source of motivation that I'll be a good boy and do my PEEAI. But hey, NO! I shall take some time off and talk some rubbish here before my dear readers come and haunt me over my absence here! :D

Church has been well, great and fulfilling for me. I've actually seen the love and care in the fellow brothers and sisters-in-Christ, especially on the day that I’m flying to NEW YORK, they actually came down to send me off at Changi Airport when I was just kidding about coming down to T3 Row 10! What’s more, I was really surprised and stunned for words when Wen Jiao GS (幹事 aka Administrator in short) and Chern Yi LS (老師 aka Teacher in short) came to send me off. CYLS even gave me a cap (which Oli loved to wear when she was in NYC) which made me feel very guilty for not doing Disciple homework regularly and earnestly (of course, not ONLY because she gave me a cap, but it’s not what I’m supposed to do anyway) while the brothers and sisters got me a beanie. Seriously, although they were very exaggerating and made it look as if I’m going off for 10 months or even 10 years instead of 10 days, I was very grateful and glad that I was actually not forgotten by them, yeah, ALL of you, while I was in NYC!

弟兄會 2008 was really great job and great effort, special thanks to YJ and Chuan who has coordinated everything well when I was away in NYC! I was really relieved when YJ called me that day when I came back from NYC to update me on the prepping of DXH that the young brothers are doing their jobs and almost everything including gifts and games and food was settled! Actually I was still feeling a bit guilty for not helping out much on DXH day itself other than being guitarist for the P&W and making the mood in DXH a bit high before the games. (YEAH RIGHT!) I didn’t even help out in the games while they’re in Bishan Park! (Ziyu and I were both slacking while prepping P&W in MPH haha) But yea still, good job brothers! I’m proud of all of you.

Anyway as I’ve shared yesterday after Bible study, (yeah, emo sharing according to Moyi) I was pretty uncertain whether the passion and fire in me for serving Him has died down, especially after random encounters like Ting Ting giving me a note writing something about not to miss NY too much and keeping my burning passion and SOM (Source of Motivation, heh) who encouraged me that “you’re playing for Him!”. So yea, turns out that when I kept reminding myself that “I’m doing this for Him” (like how I kept telling myself on my first day of serving, 中國事工 with a bass on stage) I started to gain back the fire in me to play my bestest for Him, like today. :D

So yeah, I’ve made a promise to myself that I’ll not neglect my POMEGRANATE cell group members and my role in Worship Ministry, even though I’m currently super busy trying to catch up with school work! :) It’s just hard to balance between schoolwork and band and church, even harder than in 2007 as I take up more responsibilities here and there. But with God, everything is possible! (Phil 腓4:13)

Putting church matters aside, I’ve more or less decided not to run for EXCO in VJCSB in case you’re wondering. I simply cannot bring myself to bear heavier responsibilities when I know it means sacrificing my currents ones and I won’t be able to do a very good job. Furthermore, I do not want to deprive others (not as if I will actually), who are probably much more capable, a chance of serving for the Band. I’m still praying about it. So yeah, pray for me too!
