Really tired recently, running out of energy to do things, especially school-related work. However I was really glad that College Day is finally over and we’re having a small break of two weeks from Band, time for us to catch up with a little work and perhaps some sleep! :D Haha, and I really have to apologise for not posting much nowadays, really don’t have the mood or time because I’m not exactly in the thinking mood most of the time!

So anyway, kinda busy recently doing Connect Singapore stuffs. Yes, as many of the secondary school students in church know, (and complain about), Connect Singapore is a
So I’m some random volunteer along with 100+++ other VJC students who have
The students in my block (namely Block 5-2 with Lydia, or Luong from ACJC as Block IC) are from Bedok Town Secondary School (yes, buhDOK!) and I guess they are really a bunch of very very very rowdy but friendly people. Something quite unexpected for me: the school is probably 80% Malays and it’s kind of a culture shock to me because I’ve been in Chinese schools for 7 years (Nan Chiau 3 Cath High 4) and my first three years in Mayflower went by with a ratio of ethnic races comparable to that of Singapore’s. The Sports Leader EXCO along with their teacher-in-charge Mr. Yap were all very nice and funny people, as seen when we went to recce along our route at the Bishan Park Connector last Sunday.
Yea, busy because I had to spend 4 of 7 days of the week doing Connect Singapore stuffs - Sunday for recceing along our route and Bishan Stadium; Wednesday for going there again to take the photos that Lydia forgot to take; Thursday for going down to Bedok Town Sec to interact with and brief the Sports Leaders; Saturday for another training session in school. Time-consuming, yes, but fun since this is experience one of its kind, especially when I’m not working with anyone I know beforehand. Although it’s kind of irritating when my other 4 VJC counterparts in the block MIA all the way other than on Thursday, but, oh wells, haha! -.-
Some photos I went to take last Wednesday.

Bible study is really fruitful for me and set me thinking. After leading the Bible study for the previous month, it’s back to the 導師s again, yay! :D So anyway, topic was on being led by an unseen hand, having a “God-intoxicated” heart. There was this question in the Chapter in our Bible study material which stood out from the rest for me.
“Is it possible to have an unceasing communion with Him?”
The author mentioned that there was this person who decided to “dedicate the rest of his life as an experiment in search for the answer for this question”. Don’t know how he did it, but he managed “to pray a simple prayer to Him every two to three minutes, even as he is consciously doing something else”. Some great multitasking this guy have, so anyway, this is the very short prayer he did.
“Am I acting in Your will, Lord?”
I couldn’t help but ponder over that. Many people view Christians as big-time hypocrites, preaching about things which they never do in their daily lives, going church for socializing purposes, acting no different from non-Christians. But I really hope to make a difference. At least, even if I so-called cannot multitask efficiently, constantly reminding myself to act in His will, at least I can remember WWJD when circumstances come. At least, I can set myself apart from the mainstream and stop having prejudice against people like certain people do. I guess, radical discipleship requires effort yea?
Alright, I guess this is really random and you guys are not interested in that.

Anyway just a random note, the previous few parts of this post were typed yesterday, 03082008! And today is a very exciting day: I did Chem Phy Math GP and Econs essay, during Math Lect. I did something which I’ve never done before – complete a 13m essay in five minutes. Let’s see what kind of marks I will get. GP remedial was extremely exciting, I didn’t fall asleep at all. And I reached home at ~6pm. And there were many bees flying around my HDB block because some random people were burning some beehive somewhere and they started swarming here and there. I ate chicken rice for break, KFC for lunch and scrambled egg with onion with fish with veg with rice for dinner today. I collected a lot of money for class fund (thanks for cooperating 64!) and I’m really happy :)

I’m going Balai next next Saturday to Sunday for Balai Overseas Ministry! 16th to 17th in fact. Coolios? Yea :)
AMKCMC has always been engaged in Balai Overseas Ministry, helping out there regularly every year. However, this is the first time they are asking us TQ members (or rather, comm members this time round) so hence the five of us (YJ, Moyi, Qinyi, Chun Ai, yours truly) are representing the TQ comm. or rather the whole TQ to this very short trip this year!
As for what we’re gonna do there, it’s more or less decided: just helping out in a church down there by helping in the Children Ministry there! Something like SLV you can imagine, but of course this is for a deeper purpose. One of the stuffs I’m in charge of, is to teach them English (ironically, when I got an S for GP before mod) using simple Christian songs, along with Chun Ai. Oh yay this is going to be interesting and fun :D We’re also going to put up some Bible story skit for them. Story has been decided, refer to the Bible, Matthew 8:23 if you’re interested!
Alright I think I’m kind of very excited! Although YJ is not so because of some three-letter creature whom I just saw poo-pooing just now as I walked home! -.- Okay, I think I’m being really random here…
So. I. Shall. Stop. Writing. Here. And. Say. Goodbye. God bless people, till the next time! :D
